ABOUT THE COLLECTION / THE CREATION PROCESS: 
 
*Please note, the necklace in the above photographs has been sold. You will receive one that is visually similar however, each necklace WILL feature a different assortment of inner charms than the one in the above photos (which is related to stock availability at the time of creation). However, each necklace is guaranteed to have pink aliens, inside! Other common charms included are vintage gears and glass baubles.
 
Additionally, this locket CAN be opened by twisting the back circle off counter clockwise.  But be warned, if you are not careful, everything that is inside the locket can, and will, fall out of it. And then it will get all over your table and make a huge mess- not that I know this from personal experience or anything... :D
 
Finally, please rest assured that each necklace is equally amazing, just like the one in the above images, they are just "slightly" different from one another!*
 
This luxurious steampunk jewelry collection was inspired by my love of all things antiquarian.
 
Each piece of jewelry I design is painstakingly hand painted, using a toothpick to apply the pigments, which are then permanently fused to the metal. This technique, which is unique to my work, gives each piece a vibrant and colorful finish you won't find anywhere else.
 
Every single watch movement I use in my creations hasn't worked in decades, and as sad as it may be, they simply aren't financially viable to be fixed by a watch maker. So rather than let these amazing pieces of history go to the landfill, I choose to recycle them into beautiful pieces of jewelry- which gives them a new, albeit different, purpose once again.
 
When I receive these watches, they more often than not, have decades of dirt, grime, and rust on them. And while there is a beauty in the grunge, industrial aesthetic, that is not what I chose to focus on for this collection.
 
Thus, after many hours of cleaning, sanding, grinding, and polishing, these watch movements are bright and shiny once again (as much as I am able to get them to with my abilities and various tools).

The actual charms will vary, however all necklaces will include pink aliens.
 
The glass locket pendant was found at a bulk warehouse and therefore, the metal is unknown (as there was no information on it when I purchased the piece to upcycle it). Please keep this in mind if you have metal allergies.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
 
It's no secret that metal and water don't play well together, therefore, I strongly suggest taking this piece off before bathing or swimming. If your necklace is exposed to water such as rain, that is perfectly fine and will cause no damage as long as you remember to let your necklace air dry thoroughly before storing it.
 
Additionally, while the pigments are fused to the metal, and quite sturdy overall, that doesn't mean that your jewelry is invincible to damage.  For example, rubbing a hard object over the coloring will eventually chip off the pigments. Therefore, it is recommended that you store your necklace in a soft cloth to prevent chipping and general wear to your new jewelry. 
 
Pro tip: Never store any fine jewelry in a moist environment, such as a bathroom, as this can cause unnecessary damage to your jewelry over time (and will allow your watch movement to rust).
